Back to MDC....
Tommy was taken back to MDC last night... what a surprise the hospital didn't want him there so why would they make sure he was in good health before they ship him back.
AND WHAT AN EVEN BIGGER SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL OF HIS BELONGINGS ARE MISSING! HIS LEGAL PAPERS (WHEN HE WAS PUT IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT IN OCTOBER THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND 12 BOXES OF HIS LEGAL DOCUMENTS DISAPPEARED) ARE GONE! ALL OF THE WORK HE PUT INTO THE UPCOMING "SPEEDY" (2+ YEARS IN THE MAKING) TRIAL SINCE HE WAS ARRESTED IN JUNE OF '08; GONE! WELL WHERE DID THEY GO? THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT KNOW... BLAME IT ON THE OTHER INMATES ... WHAT DID THE OTHER INMATES STEAL 12 BOXES AND HIDE THEM IN THE CEILING? OR MAYBE THEY ATE THEM? I BET THE INMATES OPENED TOMMY'S LOCKED CELL ALL ON THEIR OWN AND SNEAKIILY REMOVED ALL OF HIS BELONGINGS WITHOUT BEING CAUGHT BY A GUARD OR ON CAMERA. ALL OF SOMEONE'S PERSONAL BELONGINGS ACQUIRED OVER 19 MONTHS DO NOT JUST DISAPPEAR ON ONE FLOOR OF A PRISON THAT IS GUARDED 24 HOURS A DAY. BULLSHIT. MAYBE THERE'S AN MDC GHOST.
Not only are his legal documents missing again, all of his clothing, his food, his soap, his EVERYTHING is GONE. EVERYTHING that he bought in comminssary since October (when he was in solitary and his cell was ransacked the first time) GONE AGAIN. Now he has wait for comminssary and re-purchase new clothing, new food, new belongings, etc. He's still waiting on the return of all his belongings that went missing in OCTOBER, and MDC claims he did not have half of the belongings he really had (even though Tommy found the receipts for items that he did have when they returned some of his belongings).

SOUNDS PRETTY CRUEL AND UNUSUAL TO ME...
Here's an update on Tommy's hospital stay...
Wednesday night the fingers on his left hand curled into a ball, his arm curled up, and the entire left side of his body went numb. He lost peripheral vision, was very dizzy, and had an excrutiating headache. He was taken to Lutheran Medical Center where they waited 2 whole days to do an MRI... A TIA stroke usually does not show up in an MRI, especially after such a prolonged period of time because it does not have any lasting effects. He still has an unusual headache and pressure at the base of his neck, is dizzy, and he feels that something is very wrong.
Anyhow they don't want him at the hospital so they're downplaying the situation and will only reply with vague answers as to what his results are. For example "Well he has a blockage in his coratid artery..." OH OKAY AND..... Apparently he is property of the Bureau of Prisons, even though he is not CONVICTED OF ANY CRIME, so HE and his FAMILY are not entitled to know about his medical health in detail. WHAT ARE WE UP AGAINST? Who knows because we do not know excatly what his medical situation is. What I do know is that Thomas Gioeli is a diabetic (who is now requiring regular insulin), he has 5 stents in his heart, he has heart disease, he has a blockage in one of his main arteries, etc. and he just had what appears to be a "warning stroke." OH AND MDC IS NOT EVEN CAPABLE OF PUTTING TEETH IN HIS MOUTH AFTER HIS OWN LAWYER HAND-DELIVERED HIS DENTAL BRIDGE TO THE FACILITY (SINCE SEPTEMBER)... I'M SURE THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE ALL THE PROPER STEPS TO ENSURE THAT THOMAS GIOELI CAN PREVENT A STROKE... BY FEEDING HIM A BURGER, FRIES, AND RICE AND DENYING HIM A PROPER DIABETIC DIET, BY DENYING THAT HE NEEDS DAILY GLUCOSE TESTING, BY GIVING HIM HIS PILLS FOR A PERIOD OF TIME AND THEN NOT GIVING HIM HIS PILLS, AND THEN GIVING THEM, AND THEN NOT, AND CONTINUING THE PATTERN FOR THE 19 MONTHS THAT HE'S BEEN IN PRISON.
So what they just send him back to MDC so they can continue to deny him adequate diabetic care, ALL medication on a regular basis, regular doctor visits, TEETH in his mouth (because they STILL have not put his bridge in his mouth), etc., etc. Are we all going to be surprised when this warning stroke leads to the real thing?!
His sugar has been jumping from as low as 63 to as high as 185. In the hospital his blood glucose is tested every 4 hours so that his diabetes can be adequately managed. He receives different doses of insulin according to how high his sugar is, and is given proper care when his sugar is too low. HELLO METROPOLITAN DETENTION CENTER MEDICAL STAFF, THE GOVERNMENT, AND THOSE OF YOU WHO FEEL A DIABETIC CAN BE TESTED ONCE A MONTH... WAKE UP! THIS IS AMERICA, HALF OF US ARE OBESE, AS A RESULT, MILLIONS OF US ARE DIABETIC. THERE'S A COMMERCIAL FOR DIABETES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF TESTING YOUR BLOOD SUGAR DAILY ALMOST EVERY TIME I TURN ON THE TV!!!!!!!!!

the INEVITABLE
Well what a surprise... Tommy was hospitalized early Thursday morning.. heard through the grapevine or else we'd be clueless as to where he is. God forbid anyone should inform the family.
Weren't we just in court Tuesday the 2nd once again fighting for proper healthcare? Only the umpteenth time we've addressed his medical issues in court since his incarceration on June 4, 2008.
Anyhow... unfortunately he has had "what a appears to be" a mini stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), although his tests results are not in as of yet. Here's some info on what a TIA is http://www.everydayhealth.com/senior-health/stroke/warning-signs-and-symptoms.aspx
As we know Thomas Gioeli suffers from diabetes, and has not been receiving proper diabetic care. The medical staff at MDC recently made the decision to stop his cholesterol pills. High cholesterol and diabetes are both causes of a TIA.
A TIA is a WARNING STROKE and preludes a stroke. Hopefully the government takes this seriously and provides him with the adequate healthcare that we have been fighting for since his incarceration.
How UNFORTUNATE that it has to come to this... and yet HOW LUCKY we are that we were blessed with a warning and not the worst case scenerio.
Tommy has been in the hospital for 4 days now. He has not been allowed to call his family. We have not been granted a visit... hopefully YET. Don't we have rights? If this is not cruel and unusual punishment then I don't know what is.
I'm sure he is shackled to the bed even though he has 3? 4? 5?+, armed Federal Marshalls guarding him 24-hours a day. Last time he was in the hospital he was shackled while doctors put a stent in his heart. IMAGINE! Shackled during surgery! WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT! Where's he going to go? The Marshalls were in on his surgery, didn't wash in, didn't wear proper attire, were talking on their cellphones...and that's only the half. But about the shackles, he can't even get up, can't even speak, can't move his leg or he'll bleed to death, but he's shackled. NECESSITY? OR A CASE OF "I WILL BECAUSE I CAN" from power-tripping marshalls? YOU DECIDE...I'm not even going to get into his other hospital stays right now because I don't feel like getting myself sick.
SAY A PRAYER FOR HIM...EVEN IF HIS BODY FAILS HIM, HIS MIND IS STRONGER THAN EVER.
YOU CAN TIE OUR HANDS AND PUSH OUR BACKS AGAINST THE WALL BUT WE WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER STOP FIGHTING. ALWAYS STRONGER THAN YESTERDAY.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN...
HERE IS A DIRECT LETTER FROM THOMAS GIOELI IN RESPONSE TO THE DISGUSTING LIES THAT CONTINUE TO BE PRINTED IN THE NEWS...
TO JOHN MARZULLI AND ALL OF THOSE WHO COPY AND PRINT HIS ARTICLES ONTO THEIR ONLINE "NEWS" SITES,
First of all I would like to start by saying that John Marzulli is a very lazy and incompetent reporter. If he would investigate any of the lies that he is fed by the government he would see how inaccurate they are.
His attacks are personal, petty, and pathetic.
His first hatchet job was about my need for a toe nail clipper? (BIG JOKE) Unless you're a diabetic who has seen so many relatives, friends, and fellow inmates lose toes, feet, and legs to an ingrown toe nail, how dare you make fun of diabetes? What's next cancer, aids? How shameful you are.
Your second swipe was in regard to my comminssary list. Again you fail to find out the truth. There are no healthy snacks sold in comminssary. Before your sham article myself and the other diabetics requested a healthier selection; brown rice, graham crackers, wheat pretzels, etc. But naturally, you failed to print this.
My last point is that if the government didn't do such a poor job at the court hearing ("I'm sorry your honor, we mis-spoke, we mis-stated") really they just outright lied, you would have covered the hearing instead of my holiday receipts.
If you or the government think that by making me look like a baffoon you will intimidate me into not fighting for proper medical treatment, you're crazy. If the government's purpose is to prejudice the future jurors that will fail also.
So I think that you should show some respect for the halls of justice where you work. Put your feet on the floor, not on the seat in front of you during court and MOST OF ALL START TELLING THE TRUTH!

My last point is that if the government didn't do such a poor job at the court hearing ("I'm sorry your honor, we mis-spoke, we mis-stated") really they just outright lied, you would have covered the hearing instead of my holiday receipts.
If you or the government think that by making me look like a baffoon you will intimidate me into not fighting for proper medical treatment, you're crazy. If the government's purpose is to prejudice the future jurors that will fail also.
So I think that you should show some respect for the halls of justice where you work. Put your feet on the floor, not on the seat in front of you during court and MOST OF ALL START TELLING THE TRUTH!

FREEDOM
